CallGlowPrivacy Policy
Your privacy matters. CallGlow does not record your video calls, access your camera or microphone, read your messages, monitor your conversations, or collect personal content. The app uses Android's overlay permission only to display the customizable edge light above supported applications.
This Privacy Policy explains what information CallGlow ("the app", "we", "us") collects, why it is collected, and how it is used. By using CallGlow you agree to this policy.
1. What CallGlow does
CallGlow is a virtual edge-lighting application. It shows a thin glowing border around the four edges of your screen so that your display acts as an extra light source during video calls, especially in dark or low-light places. CallGlow draws its own visual overlay; it does not change or read what happens inside other apps.
2. Information CallGlow does NOT collect or access
- Video-call content, screen recordings or screenshots
- Your camera or microphone (your video-call app handles them)
- WhatsApp, Instagram or any other app's messages
- Notifications, contacts or call history
- Passwords or login details of any app
- Your activity inside other applications
- Personal conversations of any kind
CallGlow does not use Accessibility Service or MediaProjection (screen capture) for the lighting feature. We do not sell your personal information.
3. Information stored on your device
To restore your settings the next time you open the app, CallGlow stores these preferences locally on your device:
- Selected light color (including Custom RGB)
- Brightness, edge width and animation speed
- Lighting effect
- Timer settings
This information stays on your device and is removed when you clear the app's data or uninstall it.
4. Information collected by our server
CallGlow offers a one-time free trial per device and paid access plans that are tied to your device (no account or login is required). To provide and protect these features, the app communicates with our server and we may collect:

This information is not used for advertising and is not linked to your name, phone number, email address or any personal conversation.
5. Permission used
Display over other apps – CallGlow uses Android's "Display over other apps" permission only to show the edge-light overlay above your video-call app. You can revoke it at any time in your phone's settings, after which the edge light will stop working. CallGlow asks only for permissions that are genuinely required and explains each one before requesting it. The app also needs internet access to verify your trial or plan with our server.
6. How we use information
- To show the edge light and remember your lighting preferences
- To activate, verify and expire the free trial and paid plans
- To prevent abuse such as repeated free trials or changing the phone date to extend a plan
- To keep the app secure, fix problems and provide support
7. Sharing of information
We do not sell, rent or trade your information. We do not upload video-call content anywhere because we never access it. We may disclose information only if required by law or to protect our rights and the security of the service.
8. Data retention and deletion
Local preferences remain on your device until you clear the app data or uninstall CallGlow. Server-side trial and plan records are kept only as long as needed to provide the service and prevent abuse. You can ask us to delete the information linked to your device by contacting us at the email below; note that deleting trial records may allow the free trial to be used again.
9. Security
We keep user settings locally whenever possible, avoid unnecessary network communication, never transmit video-call content and never request unnecessary sensitive permissions. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to protect the limited information we handle.
10. Children's privacy
CallGlow is a general utility app and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information, please contact us and we will delete it.
11. Third-party apps and services
CallGlow works alongside third-party apps such as WhatsApp, Instagram, Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Facebook Messenger, Telegram and other video-calling apps, but it does not access or modify their internal operation. Their own privacy policies apply when you use them. CallGlow is an independent utility application and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of these apps or their owners.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page with the updated effective date.
